TRAMWAY IN ODENSE. DENMARK

RAISED ACCESS FLOOR FOR TRAMWAY SYSTEM

The recent tramway project that connects the northern city of Tarup with Hjallese in the south is without a doubt a breaking point in the way urban mobility is conceived in Denmark since the inhabitants will have at their disposition a line of more than 15 kilometers long with trains scheduled every 7 minutes. The project promoted by the Odense City Council, plans to make 16 trains available for this tramway line for its inhabitants, thus being able to travel the 15 km route in 42 minutes. In addition to the tramway lines, the project also includes large infrastructure such as a Control Center with more than 6,200m2 in a specialized area that will also contain a maintenance zone for trains and ample parking for users.

At Polygroup we have provided our technical and commercial team at the disposal of the project to solve the technical needs of access flooring that the project presented, resulting in a Gamaflor Full Steel System finished in Linoleum for its great benefits. The raised floor system in encapsulated steel with cement presents an optimal performance for rolling and constant loads, such as the Tram Control Center, where it is expected to receive a constant flow of users. In addition, this system is an efficient response to the installation needs of this project, since it allows the arrangement of all the installation wiring through the raised access floor structure, allowing a clear view of the plant. The distribution of the wiring through the raised floor allows, accompanied by different accessories, the punctual reach of the conduits and cables housed in the structure, which translates into simple and low-cost maintenance for the operation of the control center.
