RAISED FLOOR FOR TECHNOLOGICAL BUILDINGS

Kuwait has presented in the last decade an outstanding economic development that can be perceived through large-scale constructions such as the Central Telemetry and Communications building located in the city of Al-Ardiya. This magnificent construction houses four separate buildings, dedicated to:

• Building A – Central Telemetry
• Building B – Environmental Administration
• Building C – Resources and Water Purification
• Building D – Central Utility

Consistent with the specific needs of a technological building of this kind, POLYGROUP provided a raised access floor system which was a logical response to the management of all installations, facilitating the development of work and providing comfort to building users.

Being a technological building with specialized telemetry and measurement equipment, the main floor requirements were based on high mechanical resistance, the maximum level of fire resistance, exhaustive control of the electrostatic charges that the building itself would generate, and accessibility at every point of the installation.

The raised access floor system supplied in this important Kuwait project was the reference GAMAFLOR FULL STEEL HEAVY MEDIUM with factory-applied vinyl finish ESD conductive CONDUCTILE SUPER OR. The FULL STEEL raised access floor system confers high resistance to loads (41 kN/m²) as well as the maximum level of fire resistance A1, considered as a non-combustible or fireproof technical floor. The application of CONDUCTILE SUPER OR conductive finish manufactured with pressed vinyl and graphite provided the ideal control of electrostatic charges, providing the system with an electrical resistance of fewer than 10⁶ Ohms becoming the raised access floor system like ideal for telecommunications and technological building.
