METRO LINE 2. PANAMA

RAISED FLOOR FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC
Line 2 of the Panama Metro is part of a construction master plan that aims to connect the entire city of Panama and its surroundings in the year 2035. The beginning of this great project began in 2010 with the construction of Line 1, located in a corridor of high demand for public transport, which opened on April 4, 2014 with a total length of 15.8 km. In its first stage, Line 2 will have a length of 21 kilometers of elevated track and will have 16 stations, located in the points with the highest concentration of users.
Line 2 will have patios for parking and cleaning trains, as well as workshops for the realization of preventive and corrective maintenance of the vehicles, in addition to the other equipment installed on the line, in which a raised access floor system GAMAFLOR FULL STEEL was used. POLYGROUP provided this raised access floor system GAMAFLOR FULL STEEL with factory-applied vinyl finish CONDUCTILE SUPER-OR as a solution to the important needs of facilities that had to be housed inside the yards, workshops, as well as technical signaling and communication rooms of each station.
GAMAFLOR FULL STEEL raised access floor system guarantees a reliable solution by containing all the installations within the plenum created by the raised floor, as well as the maximum level of fire resistance A1, considered as a non-combustible or fireproof technical floor. The application of conductive finish CONDUCTILE SUPER-OR manufactured with pressed vinyl and graphite provides the ideal control for electrostatic discharges for the system with an electric resistance of 106 Ohms.
In addition to the technical rooms of the stations, the yards and workshops of Line 2, POLYGROUP provided a raised access floor system for the COC (Communications and Operations Center) where the raised floor system GAMAFLOR FULL STEEL HEAVY MEDIUM was installed with factory-applied finish HPV LIDER. The system obtains the highest classifications of resistance to loads, fire and moisture in the market. The use of this raised access floor system in this project in Panama provided a total guarantee of accessibility, stability and the possibility of channeling any type of installation under it.
