EMBASSY OF SPAIN IN AMMAN. JORDAN

RAISED ACCES FLOOR FOR OFFICE BUILDING WITH CARPET FINISH
This emblematic building is the product of a public contest held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, which was awarded to the talented studio CU Architects, who translate and imprinted a rich texture inspired by the city of Amman to the design.
As they themselves describe “The suggestions offered by the city of Amman are reflected in a facade that is, in turn, a reference to the maze of the Arab city that generates spaces and the non-uniform penumbra of light and shadow wealth. A double facade dampens excessive solar radiation and allows natural ventilation. The sequence of courtyards the building’s life turns inward favoring transpiration.”
POLYGROUP participated in the design and drafting of such an emblematic project through the architectural studio who bet for the brand for the installation of raised access floor in Jordan. The building of the new Spanish Embassy in Amman, is a symbol of the important virtues of Spanish architecture, quickly becoming a reference in design and modernity in the Middle East. The use of workspace of this building and the important aesthetic values of the Spanish state in the Jordanian country required to combine high technology and aesthetics in the different materials used in the development of the project.
To achieve all the required mechanical, aesthetic and functional values, POLYGROUP supplied the system GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 with factory-applied carpet finish. This innovative manufacturing technology allows each raised access floor panel to be finished from factory with a carpet covering, thus making the system fully accessible at each point and reducing the installation costs compared to traditional self-supporting carpets installed on site. The application of SOVEREIGN technology allows hiding the edging of the raised access floor panel providing an unmatched aesthetic to the undetectable modularity. The raised access floor panels finished with carpet provide an appearance of continuity and homogeneity that is always desired in the current architectural designs.
Actually POLYGROUP has been selected for other new embassy raised access floor design in Iran, Iraq, and the Sultanate of Sudan.
