HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION CAMBAMBE II. ANGOLA
ACCESS FLOOR FOR HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION
The Angolan country has been making a constant effort for some years to improve and provide a stable electricity network to the entire population, taking advantage of the great wealth of hydrographic resources that translates into great hydroelectric power with the appropriate infrastructure. A select group of Spanish companies have been added to this great effort, providing experience to the new projects that arise, as is the case of ELECNOR, responsible for the construction, supply and assembly of the new Hydroelectric Plant CAMBAMBE 2 located in the region of North Kwanza.
The CAMBAMBE 2 project has a large budget of 168 million euros for the construction of the second hydroelectric plant in this dam, which will double the supply of hydroelectric power that exists in the country. This ambitious project will bring great energy benefits for the country and boost the development of infrastructure in the region.
POLYGROUP has been integrated into this project supplying as part of a select group of Spanish companies, providing a raised access floor system GAMAFLOR PAC 35/05 manufactured with high density wood particle core, galvanized steel lower support of the panel and finished with vinyl CONDUCTILE SUPER OR. The factory-applied vinyl CONDUCTILE SUPER OR has a conductive coating made with pressed vinyl and graphite that become an ideal control of electrostatic charges providing the system with an electrical resistance of 106 Ohms.
This system of raised floor supplied in North Kwanza, Angola, provides great stability to both intense traffic and the different technological equipment used in the Hydroelectric Plant, thus ensuring the safety of users. POLYGROUP closely follows the development of the project for what will undoubtedly go down in history and will continue to position the firm as a reference in the systems of raised access floors in Africa.
