In 2024, inwi — one of Morocco’s leading telecommunications operators, headquartered in Casablanca — incorporated Polygroup raised access floor technology into its office facilities. For this project, 15,000 m² of GAMAFLOR PAC 30/05 panels without factory covering, prepared for subsequent carpet installation, were supplied — making it one of the most significant office flooring projects in the North African market.

inwi: a key player in Morocco’s digital infrastructure

Founded under the Wana brand and later rebranded as inwi, the company is today the third largest telecommunications operator in Morocco, with a network covering more than 92% of the country’s territory and more than 380 branches nationwide. Its headquarters in the Sidi Maarouf business district of Casablanca serves as the operational hub for a workforce of over 3,500 professionals managing the company’s mobile, fixed-line and internet services across Morocco.

For a company of this scale, workspace infrastructure must be capable of supporting constant technological evolution — new systems, new layouts, new connectivity requirements — without disruptive construction interventions.

Panels without factory covering: flexibility by design

The decision to supply panels without factory covering — ready for subsequent carpet installation — reflects a deliberate approach to project coordination. By separating the structural floor system from the final finish, the project team retained full flexibility over the choice of carpet specification, allowing the finish to be defined and installed in coordination with the broader interior design programme.

This approach is particularly relevant in large corporate projects where different zones may require different finishes, or where phased delivery requires flexibility in the installation sequence.
